From Ultra-Thin to Double-Wall My 12 Favorite Glasses for Matcha Latte

By Tea For Us matcha enthusiast & columnist @cherryyhcw

Personally, I choose smaller capacities over those big latte cups.

I don’t usually drink iced matcha, and this size gives me the perfect, rich balance of matcha and milk just the way I like it.

➊ Kinto CAST / 180ml A classic single-layer glass— lightweight, with a beautifully refined rim. Made for everyday use.
➋ Kinto CAST double wall rock glass / 250ml Double-walled, yet not heavy— the liquid seems to hover like cloud. Excellent heat retention.
➌ Kruve Imagine Latte Glass / 250ml Often used for professional latte art— the spherical base promotes efficient circulation. Produces well-defined layers in the matcha.
➍ RIEDEL THE O WINE TUMBLER WATER H2O / 330ml Ultra-thin clear crystal glass. Thinniest in this series.
➎ Here Tall Glass / 350ml Minimalist tall tumbler. Bought it in Kyoto.
➏ Blue Bottle Glass / 350ml Signature Blue Bottle logo, in a slender silhouette. Looks beatiful with matcha or water. Thinnest glass from Blue Bottle.
➐ The Glass Short (中川政七) / 240ml A classic proportion. Heat-resistant, with balanced thickness. Elegant and practical for everyday use.
➑ 木村硝子 (セーヌ 11-10oz オールド) / 300ml Hand-blown, exceptionally thin— defined by a finely contoured rim. An essential for glass collection.
➒ CLASKA G&S "DO" Double-walled, heat-resistant glass / 250ml Double-walled glass with a handle. Soft, inviting, with a subtle hipster charm.
➓ OOO 330 Beer Glass / 330ml A beer glass— however, the tall body pairs surprisingly well with a matcha latte. Understated, modern, and ultra-thin.
Found at home— 280 ml. Ideal for a dirty matcha.
Found at home— 190 ml. Love its distinctive form. Ideal for a dirty matcha.
